Barrow Christmas Street Market and Switching on of the Lights: Saturday 7th December

Come and enjoy the joyous atmosphere of a community Christmas at Barrow’s annual street market and join in the count down to the switching of our unique and colourful street lights. The market starts at 2:30pm and closes at 5:30pm. Expect lots of stalls where you can start your Christmas gift shopping, eat, drink and be merry. Bring the kiddies to Santa’s Grotto, enjoy the local entertainment from the stage and then visit the Christmas Tree Festival in Holy Trinity Church. Make sure you’re around when the lights are switched on at 5:00pm sharp.
