Barrow Open Gardens

Bloom Up Barrow Festival 19th June to 31st July 2021.

The full Barrow Open Gardens event has been cancelled for this year due to all the uncertainties around the Covid restrictions but there is one thing that we know can do safely and that is walk around our lovely village.

So we have joined with Barrow in Bloom and BUSCA to put together a programme of events beginning with an Open Gardens Weekend.

We asked people to focus on what can be seen from the streets. Blooming up their front gardens if they have them or displaying pots, planters, window boxes and hanging baskets if not and take up the challenge of:-

The Blooming Great Garden Walk.

11am to 5pm on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th June 2021.

A programme and map will be on sale from the local shops for £1 with proceeds going to Rainbows.

The map will highlight the streets where loveliness can be found as well as the stalls, a Find the Gnome Trail for children and even some live music. The programme comes with a voting slip for the ‘Barrow’s Loveliest Street’ competition and for the Best Pub Planter.

The festival lasts for six weeks to 31st July so please keep your gardens, pots, planters, window boxes and hanging baskets growing and Keep Barrow Beautiful.
