The War Memorial

This is a very important area to Barrow residents, with the November Commemoration events always drawing a very large crowd. We have recently added Private John Henry Lee to our War Memorial.  Research undertaken for our 100 year celebrations of the end of WW1 project, Barrow Remembers, to remember the 70 men that died showed that he was a Barrow soldier and was missing from the memorial.

The Parish Council provides funds to maintain the area and the grass cutting is the responsibility of the Borough council, but the practical work is carried out by volunteers.
