Barrow Arts Theatre Society (BATS)

Barrow Arts Theatre Society (BATS) is a not-for-profit, welcoming and inclusive theatre group, proudly part of the Barrow Upon Soar Community Association (BUSCA) charity (Charity No. 1156170).

We develop and nurture theatre skills of youth and adults from our local communities, and enhance the performance opportunities of our participants through the staging of high-quality productions.

Our programme of shows – including musicals, pantomimes and murder mystery productions - is created to ensure accessibility and variety for participants and audiences.

In November 2023, our most recent show, The Sound of Music, played to sold-out audiences at the MMC Venue in Mountsorrel.

Next Show

Out next show is the Wedding Singer being staged from 24th - 28th September 2024 at the MMC Venue in Mountsorrel.

The Wedding Singer, is an immersive experience musical based on the hit Adam Sandler film.

Robbie Hart is the lead singer of Simply Wed, until he is dumped at the altar of his own wedding. His life is turned around when he meets Julia who herself is trapped in an engagement to a narcissistic cheating scumbag. Will love save the day for Robbie and Julia? With immersive elements such as wedding reception seating, optional 80's style audience fancy dress and much more, join us for the most unique musical experience of the year!
