New Horizons - a friendship group for those who have been bereaved

This group of volunteers offer a listening service and counselling for all those who have been bereaved. It works with the national organisation CRUSE.

WHAT DO WE DO??
We offer fun and friendship and a listening service when required for those who have been bereaved. There is often a speaker at the monthly meeting and time to socialise with fellow members who are at the different stages of bereavement. We also organise outings to places of interest and enjoy meals out. It is a wonderful way to meet new friends.
ABOUT THE GROUP
New Horizons was started in 2006 and held its first meeting in September of that year when four people enjoyed a chat and refreshments with the volunteer helpers. From these early beginnings we have now grown to some 20 members. The group is run by volunteers and membership is free.
