3.1 Reduce congestion in the village centre (eg reduce traffic through the village, enforce parking restrictions in the High St and near Hall Orchard school at peak times, improve the off-road car parks). 3.2 Encourage people to walk to the shops and schools (ie not use their cars in the village centre). 3.3 Make Slash Lane/access to the A6 so they don’t flood, thereby reducing extra traffic through Barrow. 3.4 Enable two-way traffic over the Soar Bridge so that it is no longer a bottleneck (eg create a new foot bridge for pedestrians and cyclists). 3.5 Create a new, safe, flood-free route for pedestrians and cyclists between Barrow and Quorn. |
