If you have objected to the Jelson planning application to build 300 homes on land at Melton Road you may have received a letter, dated 25th January 2011, from Charnwood Borough Council planning department (Development Management) notifying you of amendments to the plan submitted by the developer.
These are: amended access details, open space layout, flood plain information and revised design and access statement.
BRAG advises that residents should consider these amendments and make comment and/or objection. The letter gives detail of how to contact Charnwood Borough Council.
Send e.mail to: development.control@charnwood.gov.uk giving the reference number; P/10/1518/2 and the case officers name – Neil Thompson.

To date we have no news of the date for the Jelson plan to be considered by CBC planning committee and the important report from Leicestershire County Council Highways department, on the implications for traffic in the village, is not available. Recently, we have acquired information which shows that the five year land supply for the Borough villages is on target with 4.96 years available which equates for a shortfall of 20 dwellings for the villages of the Borough. So, there is no case of need for building 300 houses on the Breachfield!
