The Country Park is about 4 miles from Barrow, close to Woodhouse Eaves.
The Park includes Beacon Hill, the summit of which at 248m gives panoramic views of Leicestershire.
Attractions include :
Walks - 4.8km circular route between the two car parks plus numerous other paths.
Labyrinth - A wooden boardwalk winding through the twisted rhododendron labyrinth.
Native Tree Collection - Our very own 'Tree Museum' as featured in Joni Mitchell's song 'Big Yellow Taxi'.
Natural Play Area - developed by Loughborough Beacon Rotary club and Welbeck College. It has a Log Train, Hazel Maze, and Log Towers.
Sculptures - various wooden sculptures are located throughout the park.
Livestock - English Longhorn and Highland cattle, along with Manx Loaghtan (brown) and Hebridean (black) sheep graze the heathland throughout the year. Alpacas are also present to help protect the sheep.
Café - Open 10am to 4pm. Located next to the picnic site near the lower car park.
Childrens Play Area - Next to the picnic site near the lower car park. The new climbing frame, tower slide and animal sculptures will delight our young visitors and keep them entertained for hours.

Admission is free, but there is a charge for car parking.
Up to 1 hour – £2.50
1-2 hours – £4.00
2-3 hours – £5.00
Over 3 hours – £5.50
There are two car parks :-
The Lower Car Park Contactless payment, off Breakback Road, is close to the Labyrinth, Natural Play Area, Native Tree Collection, and the majority of the chainsaw sculptures.
The Upper Car Park Cash only, off Beacon Road, is close to the Summit and Livestock.
Open all year.
