The deadline for objections to the re-submitted planning application has now been put back from 29th September to 13th October , 2010.

Sept 2010: Jelsons have submitted a revised application P/09/2376/2 for residential development on land at Melton Road.

The reference number for the new application is: P/10/1518/2. It can be viewed through planning explorer on the CBC website, as before.

Comments are supposed to be received by Charnwood Borough Council by September 29th. The application is expected to be considered by the Planning Department in early November.

BRAG is mounting an EXHIBITION, open to all, on Jelson‘s revised application:

on FRIDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER, 2010 FROM 10/00AM TO 8/00PM

and SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER, 2010 FROM 10/00AM TO 4/00PM

The PARISH COUNCIL has arranged an OPEN MEETING to seek the views of the Parish on Jelson‘s revised plan.

It will be held on THURSDAY, 30TH SEPTEMBER 2010

at The GAP, BARROW BAPTIST CHURCH, BEVERIDGE STREET, BoS, from 7.30PM

It is OPEN TO ALL

BRAG will leaflet the entire village again to advise that a revised application has been submitted and to encourage residents to make written objection. It should be made clear that any objection on the previous application is not counted because the new application is significantly revised. We therefore need as many individual objections as possible. Petitions are a waste of time.

Those who objected to the first application will have received a notification to submit any further objection to CBC by 29th September. BPC and ourselves (BRAG) are writing to CBC to seek an extension of this deadline however our consultant advises that objections can be received until the day of the CBC planning committee meeting.
